Wilky Trotter's got a problem ... a big problem and his name is Kenny Greenwood.

Not only is Kenny Greenwood a bully, he is a great big bully, bigger than any other kid in the fourth or fifth grades.

He punches the kids in teh fourth grade and he steals lunch money from the little kids but because he's so big and so strong, nobody dares report him for fear that they'll get beaten up.

Wilky won't back down and he pays for that with bloody noses and split lips.

And then one day on the way home from school, Kenny punches him again and knocks him down and while he's sitting on the ground, suddenly Wilky decides that rather than getting up and getting thumped again, he'll run.

Kenny starts to chase him and that's when Wilky makes an astonishing discovery. He turns toward Kenny ands shouts:

"Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man..."

And that's when things begin to change.
